Stop! Thief!

I’m upset!

On Sunday night last, some ne’er do wells decided that they wanted the radio out of my 230.

Smashed the passenger side window, broke the glove box lock, separated the console fascia from its backing section, damaged the AC vents … but neatly snipped the wires to take the radio/CD player, and as well, they stole the crappy bluetooth adapter that I had for my cellphone

Total value of what they stole, on the midnight specials market … maybe a hundred or so. Whoopdee-bloody-do!

Damage bill … thus far, one day plus off work for me, the glass was $618 to replace …

The stealership wants … (in Oz Dollars)

about $2300 for the radio,

almost $1000 for the console fascia

$115 for the glove box lock (one would think it should be a bit more resistant to thieves for those sorts of dollars) plus some change for the glove-box lining

$250 for the AC vents …

Plus about two hours’ labour to repair it all.

I’m still trying to decide who the thieves really are.
